e-Census – documents right at your fingertips by Xem
Nowadays, almost all government sectors have been responding to the rapid up-take of technology through internet advantage. The National Statistics Office (NSO) for one, has developed the e-Census, a convenient online system of requesting for the civil registry services. Whether you are here in the Philippines or working overseas you may apply for the issuance of certified copies of civil registry documents, i.e., birth, marriage and death certificates; and issuance of certificate of no marriage record (CENOMAR or Singleness)
The e-Census website is easy to navigate, user friendly and hustle free compared to the traditional way of obtaining NSO documents. Who among us have not experience long hours of standing and waiting for your turn only to come back after several days to get what you need? Oh my!

I. e-Census quick application steps:
1. Accept the e-Census terms and conditions.
2. Fill out the Requester Information Form
3. Select what documents do you need – click either Birth, Marriage, Death or CENOMAR
4. Fill out the application form to be displayed on your screen
5. Pay the processing fee.
Note: Only paid transactions will be processed.
II. e-Census payment schemes:
1. Pay requests online using my Megalink ATM card via The PORT Payment Gateway (for requests within the Philippines only.
2. Pay requests online via Credit Card (for Japan, Australia, New Zealand, U.S., Canada and Europe credit cards only)
3. Pay requests through Equitable PCI Bank / UnionBank /correspondent foreign banks.
4. Pay requests online using my Equitable PCI Bank account via FASTNet
5. Pay requests through Mail and More outlets.
Note: No Cancellation and No Refund Policy is used.
III. e-Census payment price and delivery period.
A. LOCAL
1. Birth/Marriage/Death Certificates – Php 330
2. CENOMAR (Singleness) – Php 430
- inclusive of courier charges within the Philippines and Documentary Stamp Tax
- local requests paid thru credit card, forein price applies.
- delivery is 2-6 working days for destinations within the Philippines.
B. FOREIGN
1. Birth/Marriage/Death Certificates – US$20.00
2. CENOMAR (Singleness) – US$25.00
- inclusive of delivery charges using the registered mail service of the PhilPost.
- delivery charge for special couriers is excluded
- delivery is 6-8 weeks for destinations outside the Philippines.
